"Azulejado" is the title of this series of paintings from 2026, where the artist appropriates the patterns of Portuguese tiles, enlarging their scales and, with gold leaf, overlays advertising designs from the Brazilian industry.
Painting in acrylic paint, resin and gold leaf on cotton canvas, canvas dimensions 87x87 cm and painting area 81x81 cm, approximately.
Signed and stamped on the back, in the lower corner in pencil.
Comes with certificate of authenticity and invoice, if requested.
The painting is sold without a frame, rolled and shipped via DHL or CTT.
Brazilian artist and researcher Ciço Ciça (1983) lives in Portugal since 2010, has been working with photography and painting since 2005. Doctor of Fine Arts, he was an assistant to painter Adriana Varejão (1964) in the early 2000s and has exhibited in Brazil, Uruguay, Portugal and Spain.
