Hanging lamp - Opaline glass

Elegant vintage pendant lamp with the original vintage-era pull-chain mechanism (circa 50s/60s). The centerpiece of this chandelier is the splendid hand-worked white opaline glass lampshade in the famous "handkerchief" shape. The outer edge is embellished with a delicate pink tint that adds great elegance and diffuses a warm, atmospheric light. A perfect mid-century modern piece to illuminate any space with a pop and retro touch.

The chandelier is completely original to the era and complete with every part:
- Diffuser: two-colored handkerchief glass (white and pink mottled).
- Mounting: original brushed-brass frame from the era with a three-arm support ring ("spider") and original fixing screws.
- Components: vintage braided electrical cable and a red ceiling canopy, a typical element of mid-century modern design. The electrical system is from the era (for safety, a check against today’s standards is recommended before installation).

Condition of the item
The piece presents in excellent condition of aesthetic and structural conservation. The glass is intact and shows no chips or cracks either on the wavy edge or the central hole. For full transparency, only very slight, normal surface scratches on the glass’s upper collar are noted, caused by the historical rubbing of the fixing screws (visible in the photo and completely hidden by the brass structure once hung). - Height of the glass alone: 6 cm exterior
- Maximum extension of the adjustable cable: 85 cm; total height with cord: 92/93 cm.
For safety, I have not tested it in operation, but it might work, perhaps by bringing the cable up to current standards; the lamp has been kept intact for a long time as seen in the photo.
