Sonia Anton is a Romanian-born contemporary artist whose work explores emotion, memory, movement, and the complexity of human experience through abstraction and figurative expression.

Having lived in Australia, Mexico, France, and Romania, her artistic language is influenced by diverse cultures, landscapes, and personal experiences. Growing up surrounded by art through her mother’s studio in Antibes, France, she developed an early appreciation for colour, texture, and visual storytelling.

Working primarily with acrylics, Anton combines expressive mark-making, layered textures, and intuitive compositions to create works that balance spontaneity with reflection. Her paintings often move between abstraction and representation, inviting viewers to discover their own narratives and emotional connections within each piece.

Her original artworks are held in private collections across Romania, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and Portugal, reflecting a growing international appreciation for her distinctive visual language.
