AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

This captivating oil painting depicts a vintage-style bathroom, full of nostalgic details such as floral wallpaper, a bathrobe made of textured fabric, and a classic mirrored medicine cabinet. The soft lighting and intimate composition evoke a sense of tranquility and domestic comfort, inviting viewers to reflect on their own memories and personal experiences. A truly moving addition to any art collection!

——

Jesús López (Valencia, 1982) began painting in oils at barely nine or ten years old, a hobby he kept until finishing EGB and which paused for many years. It was during the COVID pandemic that he returned to artistic creation through watercolor, a technique that allowed him to discover a language based on transparency, synthesis, and the active role of water in the creative process.

After that reunion with painting, he decided to return to oil, first self-taught and subsequently training at Aguaespejo Estudio with the Jaén-born artist Francisco Salas Quesada. His work moves between realism and impressionism, with a special interest in objects and everyday scenes. His main reference is Joaquín Sorolla, for his expressive brushwork and, of course, the light in his works.

His path in painting has only just begun.
