Description from the seller
MARÉ SOL (1890) - The Jump of Youth - Mixed media on canvas
Techniques mixtes, Peinture acrylique · Peinture numérique · Signé à la main · 2026
In full sun, a young girl in a red swimsuit launches from the top of a rock, arms wide open, suspended a fraction of a second between the cliff and the turquoise sea. Below, three companions sitting on the warm rock watch her, laughing, waiting for their turn. The ochre and purple cliff vibrates under the light, the emerald water carves itself and foams at the foot of the rocks. Painted with a knife in broad bold strokes, the scene bursts with vitality: you can almost hear the screams, the splash of water, the laughter of holidays. All of this here is youth and carefree spirit, this summer moment where one dares the big leap, where the body throws itself into the void for the pure pleasure of existing. A luminous ode to freedom and the audacity of sunny days.
Technique mixte: acrylic paint on a pigment-ink print, matte varnish.
Varnish applied by hand, for the depth of colors and the durable protection of the work.
Support: premium canvas stretched on a wooden frame, ready to hang.
Format: to be specified.
Signed MARÉ SOL · Galerie Labo Joconde / Atelier Joconde · certificate of authenticity provided.
MARÉ SOL is one of the creations bringing together the artists Le Yack, Neo Pablo and Popsan within Atelier Joconde, a family studio where three sensibilities coexist: neo-realism, pop and free figuration. Under the name MARÉ SOL, the Atelier celebrates outdoor light and summer swimming, in the tradition of knife painting impressionism: bright sun, translucent water, vibrant impasto, and Mediterranean joie de vivre.
MARÉ SOL gathers summer scenes by the water, dives, swims, sunbathing, captured in the brilliance of light and the vigor of youth. The throughline: a dialogue between impressionist heritage and a contemporary gaze, where the painting matter enhances and transfigures the printed image.
Each artwork is a unique piece.
