Imposing, large-scale sculpture (53 cm tall) carved from solid wood depicting a standing Buddha on a stylized lotus pedestal.
The figure depicts Buddha in traditional robes richly decorated with volutes and reliefs in gold leaf. The right hand performs the Abhaya Mudra (gesture of protection and courage), while the left hand extends in Varada Mudra (gesture of granting blessings and compassion). Notable is the artisanal polychromy in gold, white, and reddish tones, as well as the fine gilding work on the robe.
A piece with a strong dramatic presence and decorative value, ideal for collectors of Buddhist and Oriental art.
