Antonio Collado Martínez felt a strong attraction to painting since childhood. In 1973, at just 17 years old, he held his first solo exhibition in the Balaguer Chamber of Commerce hall. Since then he has regularly exhibited in Spain and in various foreign countries, with works present in important public and private collections.

Self-taught artist, his career has evolved from figurative representation toward informalism and, subsequently, toward expressive abstraction. Since 1988 he has also developed works in sculpture, printmaking, and lithography. Throughout his career he has been awarded and distinguished on several occasions. He currently resides in Barcelona.

The work represents an abstract seascape built with broad stains and textures in ochre, earth, and brown tones. In the central area triangular shapes stand out, suggesting sails of vessels, integrated into a schematic maritime landscape. The use of lines, overlays, and contrasts generates depth and dynamism within a composition of great material force.

The painting is presented framed in a brown wooden frame, with stepped moldings and an inner beige and white passe-partout that enhances the work.
