Wonderful work by painter Enrico Benassi (Mezzani, May 14, 1902 – Parma, February 13, 1978) painted in oil on canvas in good condition.
The painting measures 33x46 cm.

An artist of international importance who established himself as a naive painter, with contemporary critics tending to recognize great originality.
Son of peasants, a man of a thousand trades: in addition to being an emigrant, he was a peasant, poultry farmer and nurse, manager of a trattoria on the Po at Sacchetta, a hawker at the Ghiaia market.
Passionate about music, he played the banjo, guitar and mandolin. With his twelve children, he formed a small band that in the fifties travelled from fairs to dance halls to circuses. Only later, at the end of the fifties, did he begin to dedicate himself to painting.
Inspired by exoticism, Ravenna mosaics and Egyptian artifacts, he initially copied and then quickly developed his own fantastic world, increasingly personal and rich in colors and irony. From the early sixties he has been present worldwide in all naive art events, with an exceptional bibliography. In 1988 Parma hosted a retrospective of the artist with the publication of a complete monograph.
