Swiss Vreneli of 1912 in 900 fine gold (0/ooo) with a diameter of 19 mm and a weight of 3.23 grams.
Struck between 1911 and 1922, the gold franc coins were part of the Latin Monetary Union and could be freely exchanged throughout Europe.
Obverse: profile of Helvetia against a mountainous backdrop, signature of engraver F. Landry, among the edelweiss, revered Swiss alpine flowers, which can be seen beneath the profile.
Reverse: depicts the radiant Swiss cross above sprigs of rhododendron and gentian, other symbolic alpine plants of this mountainous country.
Face value - 10 FR - on either side of the rays of the cross.
