Villeroy & Boch Mettlach – Celadon Green service – Germany, circa 1948–1955

Elegant vintage service set from Villeroy & Boch, produced in Mettlach (Saarland, Germany). All pieces are bottom-marked “Villeroy & Boch – Mettlach – Made in Germany – Saar”, dating from the post-war period.
The dinnerware is executed in a refined celadon-green glaze with a subtle craquelure texture and a timeless coupe shape, characteristic of Villeroy & Boch’s quality production.
* 6 dessert/breakfast plates/bread plates Ø 20 cm
* 6 soup plates – Ø 21 cm
* 1 round serving dish – Ø 32 cm
* 1 soup tureen with lid – Ø 30 cm

Overall in very good vintage condition. The soup tureen, serving dish and most plates are undamaged. Three dessert plates show a small rim chip (“flea bite”), in line with normal use and the age of the dinnerware. No restorations. See last 2 photos.
