For sale is an extraordinary and rare travel casket (so-called “Campaign style”) from the 19th century.

An absolute highlight for collectors of antiques and historical curiosities.
Special highlight:
On the lid there is an inlaid, oval curved brass plaque with the artistically original engraving “Freiherr von Biedermann”.

This concerns a significant Saxon noble family (raised to the Reichsfreiherrenstand in 1802). The box thus was in the personal possession of a member of this influential family.

Ruggedly crafted with surrounding brass bands and reinforced corners to protect on travels.
Beautiful, authentic patina on the leather and the fittings

The original locking latch at the front is present (one key is no longer included). Age-appropriate, light signs of use that underline the historical character and charm of the piece (no major damage).
