An authentic iron well bucket from Sicilia, Italy, dating to the late 19th century (ca. 1870–1900), made from punched sheet metal with a solid iron handle and side hooks, brown in colour, 25 × 15 × 15 cm and 400 g, in used condition with probable small missing parts.
Description from the seller
Authentic basket in punched sheet metal, made in Italy between the late 19th century and the early 20th century (circa 1870–1900).
The structure is obtained by punching and bending, without welding, a technique typical of pre-industrial rural tools. The surface features a stratified antique patina, with natural oxidation and residues of original pigment, signs consistent with more than a century of life.
The solid iron handle, fixed with forged side hooks, is original and still stable. The interior shows genuine wear, not artificial, confirming daily use of the object in agricultural or domestic contexts of the era.
This piece is ideal for collectors of 19th-century rural tools, for museum displays, or for decorative settings in industrial, wabi-sabi, or authentic rustic styles.
