Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born 1966) is a Marche-born artist whose life runs deep in artisanal craftsmanship. For forty years he worked in the shadows of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of Marche, specializing to the highest levels in resin processing, painting, and chroming.
The turning point of his life arrives with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to release the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been “only” a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to bring to life modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his know-how as a craftsman into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.
Title - Art attack
Technique: resin
Measurements: cm 34x13x8
Condition: new.
Certificate of authenticity - hand-signed.
Edition: limited edition 499ex - red
Message and interpretation: "Art Attack" celebrates one of the painter’s fundamental tools, the tube of paint, dedicating the work to it. The artist wanted to emphasize the importance of this simple instrument, essential for artistic creation, and pay homage to the creative process. The work underscores the idea that everyday objects can be transformed into art and become symbols of expression and creativity.
Context and inspiration: Created in a period of growing appreciation for artists’ work and the creative process, the work reflects the importance of recognizing and valuing the tools that allow artists to express themselves. The choice to depict an opened tube of color symbolizes the beginning of the creative process and the infinite potential of artistic imagination.
The work will be carefully packaged and shipped by courier with tracking.
In recent years his work has earned important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among these are the presence at the Contemporary Art Exhibition "Arte Venezia" in 2025, collaboration with the VERUM Center for Art and Culture, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned Private Collection Fuser. From craftsman to signatory of the Neo-Pop scene, Sagrasse shows how a lifetime of experience can become pure and recognized artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not merely an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, placing it at the service of imagination. His works are colored mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly in the path of New Pop Art and Urban Art. If the comparison to Banksy is evident for the strong satirical charge, the irony, and the ability to reinterpret icons of daily life or pop culture in a critical light, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski.
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is a handcrafted work, conceived and fully made in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of entirely manual workmanship.
It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean with only a soft cloth, avoiding detergents.
