Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in artisanal craftsmanship. For forty years he worked in the shadows of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of the Marche region, specializing at the highest level in resin work, painting, and chrome plating.
The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always harbored. What for decades had been “only” a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his know-how as a craftsman into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.

In recent years his work has received important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Notable among these are his presence at the Contemporary Art Exhibition “Arte Venezia” in 2025, the collaboration with the VERUM Art and Culture Center, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned Private Collection Fuser. From a craftsman to a signature of the Neo-Pop scene, Sagrasse demonstrates how a life’s experience can be transformed into pure and recognized artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colorful mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly into the path of New Pop Art and Urban Art. While the association with Banksy is evident due to the strong satirical charge, irony, and the ability to reinterpret icons of everyday life or pop culture in a critical light, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski.
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is a handmade work, conceived and made entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of entirely manual workmanship.
It is advised not to expose to heat sources; clean with only a soft cloth, avoiding detergents.
