Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in artisanal craftsmanship. For four decades he has worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality among the Marche hills, specializing at the highest level in resin work, painting and chrome plating.
The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always kept hidden. What for decades had been “only” a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his artisanal know-how into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.

In recent years his work has received important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Notable among these are the appearance at the Contemporary Art Show “Arte Venezia” in 2025, the collaboration with the Center for Art and Culture VERUM, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned private collection Fuser. From craftsman to a signature figure of the Neo-Pop scene, Sagrasse demonstrates how a lifetime of experience can become pure and recognized artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from its functional constraint, placing it at the service of imagination. His works are colored mirrors reflecting our society: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly in the trajectory of New Pop Art and Urban Art. While the association with Banksy is evident for its strong satirical charge, irony, and ability to reinterpret everyday icons or pop culture in a critical light, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski.
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is an artisanal work, conceived and made entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of entirely hand-made production.
It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean with only a soft cloth, and do not use detergents.
