Pair of two vintage ceramic amphorae from Italy, dated 1940–1950, with a mottled earth-tone glaze, each 14 cm wide, 15 cm high and 12 cm deep, in good used condition and bearing a hand‑engraved front signature 'Sixt'.
Description from the seller
This is a splendid pair of vintage ceramic amphora-shaped vases, distinguished by the typical flame-mottled and marbled glaze ("flambé effect" or "jaspe") in earthy tones, ochre, and brown. These pieces are strongly linked to artisanal ceramic production from the mid-20th century (roughly the 1950s and 1960s), a style made famous in Europe by important artisanal centers such as Vallauris in southern France. The vases feature a bulbous body, two symmetrically arching handles, and a hand-engraved signature on the front ("Sixt") attesting to their artisanal craftsmanship. The objects will be packed with great care and shipped with tracked mail.
