Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-born artist whose life has its roots in artisanal mastery. For forty years he has worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of the Marche region, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, painting, and chroming.
The turning point of his life arrives with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he has always guarded. What for decades had been "only" a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his artisanal know-how into a language of contemporary art recognized, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.
Title - Horse with no name
Technique: resin and marble dust
Dimensions: 28x28x10 cm
Condition: new.
Certificate of authenticity - hand-signed
Edition: silver 499ex.
The work will be carefully packaged and shipped with a tracking courier.
In recent years his work has earned important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among these are notable appearances at the Contemporary Art Exhibition "Arte Venezia" in 2025, the collaboration with the Centro d'Arte e Cultura VERUM, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned Private Collection Fuser. From artisan to signature of the Neo-Pop panorama, Sagrasse demonstrates how a lifetime of experience can transform into pure and recognized artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colorful mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, bright, ironic, and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly in the track of New Pop Art and Urban Art. While the comparison to Banksy is evident for its strong satirical charge, irony, and the ability to reinterpret icons of daily life or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogue with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski.
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is a handcrafted work, conceived and made entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of entirely manual workmanship.
It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean without using detergents, but only a soft cloth.
