Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in artisanal craftsmanship. For forty years he worked in the shadows of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of the Marche region, specializing at the highest level in resin work, varnishing, and chroming.
The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been “only” a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to bring to life modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his know-how as a craftsman into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.

The frame is crafted in a classical style, richly decorated with gilded carvings.
The canvas represents a reinterpretation of the famous painting The Starry Night.
What distinguishes this work is the addition of a surreal and humorous element: at the center of the scene looms the unmistakable silhouette of a stylized coyote reminiscent of Wile E. Coyote.
The visual effect suggests that the coyote is leaving a mark through which the brightest colors of the background can be glimpsed.

On the back of the sculpture there is a convenient wall-hanging hook.
