Description from the seller

This outstanding fine earthenware vase from the famous Belgian manufacture Boch Frères Keramis is a premier 1959 design produced under its avant-garde Keralux line, created by the iconic sculptor and designer Ernest D'Hossche. Part of the highly collectible series named Tentation, this piece stands out for its asymmetrical oblong opening and its spectacular molded relief texture brilliantly simulating vertical strands of straw or natural bark. The bold tactile finish is magnified by a monochrome glossy glaze in a warm straw-yellow amber hue, which beautifully catches the light to emphasize the structural depth of the grooves and the vase's architectural lines. Displaying a fine density with a weight of 1500 grams ensuring a highly stable presence on your furniture, the piece stands at a height of 25 centimeters, featuring a maximum top width of 20 centimeters narrowing down to a minimum top width of 16 centimeters. The item proudly retains its original silver-foil factory Keralux label on the body and is in excellent overall condition, with its vitrified glaze completely free of any chips, scratches, or body cracks. A prime milestone of mid-century Belgian design, perfect for anchoring a vintage mid-century sideboard or joining a discerning art collection display.
