Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966, is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in artisan craft. For forty years he worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of Marche, specializing at the highest level in resin processing, painting, and chrome plating.
The turning point in his life arrives with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always nurtured. What for decades had been “only” an excellent technique becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today, Sagrasse has transformed his artisanal know-how into a recognized language of contemporary art, showing that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.
