African Beads, Adornments & Textiles Auction

A necklace with large cherry-red Bohemian glass beads from the 1920s that were made for barter trade in Africa (including Ethiopia). These beads are also called Tomato Beads. These beads are alternated with beautiful antique late 19th-century Venetian Millefiori trade beads and small 'White Heart Beads'. The length of the necklace is 61 cm.

Een ketting met grote kersenrode Boheemse glaskralen uit de jaren 20 die gemaakt werden voor ruilhandel in Afrika ( o.a Ethiopië). Deze kralen worden ook wel Tomato Beads genoemd. Deze kralen worden afgewisseld met prachtige antieke eind 19de eeuwse Venetiaanse Millefiori  handelskralen en kleine 'White Heart B opeads'. De lengte van de ketting is 61 cm.
