Bouillon, at the expense of the Typographic Society. 1782-1783. Octavo. 435, 412, 408 pages. Calfskin havana bindings with smooth spines, richly ornamented, with red morocco title pieces, tailpieces missing.

Rare complete edition in three volumes in identical period bindings. Work in good condition despite rubbing to the hinges, spine and boards, missing headcaps, missing tailpieces, worn corners. Interiors in good condition (see photos).

Alphabetical collection of historical facts, peculiarities, narratives, moral reflections, bons mots, portraits... excerpts from the "Journal d'un homme de lettres", manuscript in 6 volumes, quarto, by the Jesuit Bardou (1729-1803), published at Bouillon in 1783 but with censorship and transformation according to the author.
