Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born 1966) is a Marche-born artist whose life has deep roots in artisanal mastery. For forty years he worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality between the hills of the Marche region, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, painting, and chroming.
The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always guarded. What for decades had been “only” an excellence technique thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his craft into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.

In recent years his work has received important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among these are notable appearances at the Contemporary Art Exhibition “Arte Venezia” in 2025, the collaboration with the Center for Art and Culture VERUM, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned Fuser Private Collection. From artisan to a hallmark of the Neo-Pop landscape, Sagrasse demonstrates how a life’s experience can transform into pure and recognized artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not merely an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colored mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly within the path of New Pop Art and Urban Art. If the comparison to Banksy is evident for its strong satirical charge, irony, and the ability to reinterpret everyday icons or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski.
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is a handcrafted work, conceived and produced entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be observed are the natural characteristic of fully manual workmanship.
It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean with a soft cloth only, without using detergents.
