About the artist:

Jo Ber is a French artist born in 1983 in the Paris region. Originating from La Défense, he grew up among the towers and underground spaces, turning these areas into playgrounds for his early graphic explorations. A comics enthusiast, he tirelessly fills his sketchbooks, developing a narrative style and a strong interest in urban mythologies.

In the early 2000s, he started doing graffiti under the pseudonym BER, focusing on characters and settings integrated into collective projects. Between 2007 and 2010, he painted on trains in France and across Europe (Berlin, Milan, Naples, Oslo), creating colorful and joyful pieces, often in collaboration with Poes and Perle. At the same time, he contributed to the satirical fanzine La Koulure, consolidating his graphic and narrative universe.

Today, Jo Ber concentrates his work on walls, canvas, and paper, playing with composition to tell stories. His inspirations are broad: comics (Will Eisner, Frank Miller, Robert Crumb, Katsuhiro Ōtomo, Moebius) and the art of early civilizations. His style, close to naif realism, blends humor, irony, and the softness of colors, bringing to life characters with round, expressive faces that sketch imagined and narrative worlds.

Jo Ber has participated in numerous group exhibitions and auctions, notably at Artcurial and Aguttes, affirming his place in the contemporary art scene.
