Crocodile Gold is built from tall ridges of textured paint, layered until the surface stops looking like paint and starts looking like something else — hide, armor, bark. Acrylic, spray, and gold leaf are worked together in vertical columns across the canvas, with one column of copper-bronze breaking through the gold and champagne tones. The texture is uneven by design: rough where the paint was dragged, smooth where the spray settled, sharp where the gold catches light.
