Paperwork by Peter Robert Keil (born 1942 in Züllichau/Pommern). Acrylic on paper, signed bottom right: P. Keil. Framed under glass behind a mat. Dimensions of the image: height approx. 60 cm, width approx. 40 cm. Dimensions with frame: height approx. 73 cm, width approx. 53 cm, depth approx. 3 cm.
The painter and sculptor Peter Robert Keil was born on August 6, 1942 in Züllichau, Pomerania. After beginning training as an art metalworker, he studied from 1959 to 1961 at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. He maintained contacts with other well-known artists such as Georg Baselitz and Markus Lüpertz. From the early 1960s he lived and worked in various cities such as Paris, London, Berlin and in the USA as well as in Mallorca. During his Spanish period he also met Joan Miró several times in his studio. All of these experiences are reflected in his extensive oeuvre and testify to the corresponding breadth of his work. He has been and remains active in diverse areas of the visual arts. Currently, Peter Robert Keil lives and works again in the USA.
