Cast brass ship's compass with an estimated period of 2020 or later, made in the Netherlands.
Description from the seller
This ship's compass was made by the worldwide Dutch company of L.J.Harri in Amsterdam (The Netherlands)
I bought this compass in Indonesia in the 60s while I was working in Djakarta..
The serial number is 58, so my estimate is the 19th century and because this is VERY RARE, the card with the points of the winds was made of PAPER and hanging in very fine cords.
Around the very nice designed "North" you will see 2 handwritten calibrations and the logo of HARRI, Amsterdam.
Amazingly, this compass is still working very good and shows the right direction.
The glass plate is screwed with 4 brass screws to the body of the compass.
