The treatment adopts the artist's entire visual grammar: solid silhouettes outlined in thick black, flat areas of primary colors (red, blue, yellow, green), radiant motion lines, and small flying saucers scattered on the cream background. The sneaker, for its part, is rendered in generous impasto that gives it almost sculptural relief, contrasting with the graphic line of the dancers. Haring’s famous barking dog slips into a corner of the composition.
