Medsan, hand-signed by the artist, presents a unique 1/1 giclée titled Kintsugi Doraemon (金継ぎのドラえもん), 40 × 40 cm, on wood, year 2026, edition limited 1, in excellent condition, depicting pop culture in blue-and-white porcelain with gold repairs, and originating from France.
Description from the seller
There is only one in the world - 1/1 edition
With this square-format artwork, Medsan depicts Doraemon, the most beloved robot-cat from Japanese manga, as a motif of blue-and-white antique porcelain, broken and then repaired with gold according to the art of kintsugi.
The treatment perfectly imitates blue-and-white style ceramics (aka Arita porcelain or Chinese porcelain): the character is drawn in a cobalt blue monochrome, adorned with clouds, chrysanthemums and traditional scrolls, on a crackled ivory glaze. The entire surface is fractured by a network of cracks, whose main fissures are highlighted with gleaming gold veins that sutures the image like a truly restored piece.
The work deftly blends the modernity of Japanese pop culture with ancient ceramic heritage. The kintsugi, a philosophy of beauty born from repaired fracture, gives the joyful character an unexpected depth: even the childish icon bears the golden scars of time, and is all the more precious for it.
A refined and poetic piece, ideal for adding a touch of Japanese charm and preciousness to a contemporary interior of a collector who loves manga and Japanese art.

About the Studio:
Atelier Joconde is a studio of artists united around a living and plural contemporary creation. Established as a true artistic production space, the studio operates both in collective creation and in individual approaches, depending on the projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realist influences. Alongside him, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo engages in a more instinctive search, combining abstract art, outsider art and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, created and followed within the studio, with a shared artistic standard and an identity unique to each artist.
