Medsan's Giclée on wood, 40 × 60 cm, titled Pikachu's Summer Fireworks (大江戸の花火) – unique 1/1 edition, hand-signed, France, 2026, in excellent condition, sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
THERE IS ONLY ONE LIKE IT IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1
With this vertical-format work, Medsan places Pikachu, Pokémon's beloved mascot, on a wooden terrace to gaze at a grand summer festival (natsu matsuri) and its sky ablaze with fireworks, above a city from the Edo period.
The treatment recreates the richness of traditional prints and vintage posters: an ornamental frame, a meticulous crowd in yukata strolling between festival stalls, a river studded with lanterns, a illuminated pagoda and bursts of hanabi exploding in red, gold and blue in the night. Sitting with his back to the viewer near a lantern, the little Pokémon savors the spectacle. The cartouche 夏夜祭 / メドサン signs the work.
The work celebrates the nostalgic sweetness of Japanese summer evenings, those matsuri when you look up to the sky in a sense of community. By slipping Pikachu in as an astonished spectator, Medsan forges a tender link between Japan’s festive heritage and world pop imagination.
A warm, magical piece, ideal for bringing a touch of Japanese charm and joy to a contemporary interior of a collector with a love for Japanese art and Pokémon culture.

About the Atelier:
Atelier Joconde is a workshop of artists gathered around a living, plural contemporary creation. Installed as a genuine artistic production space, the studio operates both in collaborative creation and in individual approaches, depending on the projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realistic influences. Alongside him, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography, and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo pursues a more instinctive search, blending abstract art, art brut and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, produced and supervised within the studio, with a shared artistic standard and a unique identity for each artist.
