Description from the seller
Stunning contemporary wall sculpture and unique Pop-Street Art: "Santa Ana Bottle" by the artist "This Is Not A Toy".
This original creation is a bold artistic exploration that freezes a moment of destruction and beauty. The work, entitled "Santa Ana Bottle", takes as its starting point a real bottle of Santa Ana Gin, renowned for its refined aesthetics and its Philippine origins.
The artist has "exploded" the bottle, dispersing its fragments before freezing them for eternity in a massive pour of high-quality epoxy resin. The glossy resin traps every shard, every piece of the label, and the broken glass, creating a relief effect and a fascinating depth under light. All of it is mounted on a sturdy MDF panel.
The piece is enhanced by a frame in a one-piece American style casing, giving it a professional, high-end finish while giving the impression that the resin floats within the frame. It is a striking piece, blending the transparency of resin with the controlled chaos of shattered glass.
About the artist:
This Is Not A Toy is an emerging artist on the European Pop-Street Art scene. Based in the Lyon region, his work explores the dynamics between everyday consumer objects, Pop culture, and the concept of brand fetishization. Drawing from Pop Art his taste for the subversion of popular symbols and from Street Art his quick, impactful techniques, This Is Not A Toy challenges the value and longevity of objects.
His works blur the boundaries between art, decorative object, and marketing product, forcing the viewer to reassess their relationship to possession. Resin is one of his preferred materials, allowing him to "freeze" the ephemeral and transform a daily object into a contemporary relic.
Shipping information:
The work will be professionally protected (reinforced packaging, bubble wrap, padding) and shipped via a specialized carrier with full insurance to guarantee safe delivery.
Note: Shipping costs include professional packing charges.
