French contemporary artist, Léo Varek currently develops a series of pop canvases inspired by street art codes, built around a strong visual energy.
Prior to this studio work, I produced numerous monumental frescos, notably in Europe, including a interventions of over 600 m² in Courchevel, France. This career directly informs my current approach, more condensed, but still guided by visual impact.
My works are today distributed internationally and shipped worldwide.
Each canvas is handmade in my studio in France, using mixed techniques combining acrylic and aerosol.
I work spontaneously to preserve a tension in the gesture, strong contrasts and a real vibration of the colors.
