Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Two metal hexagonal lanterns dating to 1940–1950 have been converted into desk lamps with modern wiring, retaining glass panels as diffusers, in good used condition and working order, originating from Spain, with dimensions 30 x 16 x 16 cm.
Description from the seller
They are two antique lanterns repurposed as desk lamps, pieces that preserve the full essence of traditional lighting but adapted with modern wiring for everyday use without losing their historic character. The hexagonal brass structure, with its warm shine and natural patina, maintains that classic air that recalls exterior lanterns and stately corridor lamps, where worked metal and small rivets were part of the artisanal language.
Each lantern retains its glass panels, which now function as diffusers for electric light, creating an intimate and enveloping effect when the lamp is on. The top, with its small perforated dome and original handle, adds a nostalgic touch: it recalls its primal function, but now integrates into interiors as a decorative object with soul.
The conversion to a desk lamp has been carried out discreetly: the modern wiring is integrated without altering the aesthetics, allowing the piece to remain faithful to its original design. That balance between tradition and functionality is what gives these transformed lanterns such presence: they are not just lamps, but fragments of history adapted to contemporary life.
Together, they form a perfect duo for spaces with a taste for vintage, artisanal, and evocative ambience.
Certified shipping and careful packaging.
