Beautiful Dutch silver pill box by Christiaan Jacobs Bruinings (1816–1902), made in Joure in 1869.

The rectangular box with rounded corners is fitted with a hinged lid and richly engraved with delicate Rococo and foliate ornamentation around a central cartouche featuring a detailed city view. The interior is smoothly finished and shows a fine patina appropriate to its age.
The box bears the Dutch silver hallmarks, including the Minerva head, the walking lion for second-grade silver (.833), and the master mark B77 of Christiaan Jacobs Bruinings.

Dimensions: 4.5 x 5.2 x 1.8 cm

A decorative and collectible object that excellently represents the high quality of Frisian silversmithing from the 19th century.

Condition:
Good antique condition with normal signs of wear and aging. The hinge functions properly and the engraving is well preserved.
