To the auction comes an extraordinarily massive and color-intensive art glass vase from the renowned French traditional manufacturer Verrerie de La Rochère.
The piece comes from the creative studio collection of the late 1980s / early 1990s.
Special décor:
Elaborate powder-melt decoration (décor moucheté) with an expressive marbled pattern in cobalt blue, old pink, and violet, sealed under a thick layer of clear glass (overlay technique).
Each piece of this series is an absolute one-of-a-kind piece.
Quality features:
With a weight of over 2.3 kg the vase is extremely thick-walled and stable.
The pontil scar on the bottom was expertly and smoothly ground down.
