Description from the seller
Inscribed Landscape
Inscribed Landscape belongs to the series Gardens of Memory, a set of works in which R. Robin transforms the landscape into a space of evocation and poetic construction. Through the layering of geometric planes, organic forms, and a luminous palette, the composition establishes a delicate balance between nature and abstraction. The trees, spheres, and the spatial structure do not describe a specific place, but rather an interior territory where memory is etched as a visual footprint. The work invites a slow contemplation, revealing new relationships between color, form, and depth with every look.
About R. Robin
Robinson Rodríguez García is a visual artist, theater designer, and drawing teacher, born in Cienfuegos, Cuba, and based in Spain. He graduated in 2003 from the Provincial Academy of Fine Arts and develops an artistic practice centered on painting and contemporary language, where abstraction, geometry, and a strong symbolic charge converge. Between 2003 and 2005 he taught drawing workshops at the Manuel Ascunce Domenech School of Art Instructors, and from 2006 to 2009 he worked as a costume and set designer for the Provincial Council of Performing Arts of Santa Clara, an experience that decisively influenced his spatial and formal conception within the visual arts.
His work has been shown in various solo exhibitions in Cuba, highlighting presentations at the Provincial Gallery of Art and in institutional spaces of Santa Clara. He has also participated in important group exhibitions and international fairs, including Art Basel Miami, group exhibitions in France, and contemporary art events in the Americas and Europe. In 2017 he participated in art fairs in Mexico. His career is complemented by studies and international workshops related to scenic design and visual creation, consolidating a multidisciplinary artistic profile that dialogues between painting, space, and contemporary symbolic experience.
