All works by the artist are unique. They are handmade paintings created with various techniques. The photos are not edited, but minor color variations may occur due to photography. The cracks, gouges, ridges, and paint splatters are part of the painting style. They are not defects and are intentional by the artist.

Intuition and Abstraction
Manuela Decker (born 1973) is a contemporary German painter who lives and works in Osnabrück. Self-taught, she has developed an unconventional, deeply emotional visual language that moves freely beyond academic constraints. Under the studio name Gallery M, she presents her works to an international audience.

Artistic Profile & Style
Decker’s works are associated with abstract expressionism and modern informal art. Central to her work is the process of letting go. Her large-format acrylic paintings are often created impulsively and intuitively—driven by moments, moods, and the dynamics of color itself.

Technique:
She preferably works with acrylic paints, chalks, and texturing mixed media on canvas. The application of color is layered, sometimes boldly smeared, sometimes gently wiped or glazed. This gives her paintings a tactile depth. Contrasts: A recurring motif is the play with extreme opposites. In series such as “Better in black,” she contrasts deep, dark areas with sudden, luminous color explosions or minimalist lines. The imperfect and raw are deliberately staged as aesthetic elements.

Philosophy and Intent:
For Manuela Decker, art is a valve for the inexpressible. She does not want to impose a fixed interpretation on the viewer, but rather to offer room for one’s own associations and feelings. Her art seeks dialogue with the subconscious. This inclusive, liberating approach she also passes on as a creativity coach. Here she helps people to resolve blocks through intuitive painting and to discover their own inner image world.
