Magnificent Bohemian garnet bracelet – 900 silver, gilded – Art Deco circa 1930!

For sale is an original, opulent Bohemian garnet hinged bracelet from the Art Deco era (circa 1929–1935). The piece is notable for its masterful craftsmanship and the dense setting of sparkling deep red pyrope garnets in the traditional rose cut. In the center is an imposing, multi-tiered star-flower medallion.
The bracelet is very robustly made and is in a very good wearable and collectible condition.

Details & Hallmarks:

Material: 800 silver, antique-gilded (gilt)
Weight: approx. 33.0 g (very heavy, valuable piece)
Maker’s mark: “G2” (Certified production mark for Granát Turnov, Bohemia)
Fineness: “800” in a narrow lozenge

Control marks: Czechoslovak silver hallmark “Sitting Hare” (freehand marks from 1929)

Garnet setting:
Center stone (10 x 6 mm): approx. 1.00 ct
Two side stones (each 6 x 5 mm): approx. 0.80 ct (together)
34 larger stones (each ~3 mm): approx. 3.74 ct (together)
212 small stones (each ~2 mm): approx. 7.42 ct (together)

Total inner diameter & inner circumference:
Inner diameter of 6.0 cm x 5.5 cm.
Inner circumference approx. 18.1 cm

Clasp:
Perfectly functioning box clasp with safety chain, also hallmarked.

Very good vintage condition, age-appropriate patina, all stones original and securely set.
