Luca Cartoonist, registered name Luca Angelini, born in 1986, is an emerging artist in the world of pop art. Always passionate about comics (Disney foremost), he graduated in advertising graphics at the Istituto d'arte di Ascoli Piceno and then completed his artistic studies earning a degree in comics and illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna.
Drawing and painting will continue to be part of his life despite a different professional path (though always artistic), until 2020, when, during the pandemic, he decides to fully enter the world of pop art.
He primarily represents characters from the cartoon/comics world, adapting them and placing them within current situations, often using pop icons from yesterday and today.
He mainly uses acrylic paints, spray cans, and mixed media techniques of printing and collage on canvas.
Since 2021 collaborations with several Italian art galleries, he has participated with his works in events such as ArtParmafair, BAF, and some group exhibitions (MilanoFashion & Art, Espressioni d'artista…)
