Description from the seller
Golden sun shining on a beach battered by foaming waves. Sitting facing the viewer on a crumpled pastel-toned towel, a young red-haired woman with short curls fixes her gaze, legs bent, one hand holding the line of a blue swimsuit. Behind her, the green-blue sea breaks, the sky gilded with a seasonal halo. Semiotically, the frontal pose and direct look establish a frank relationship, almost a quiet challenge; the warm light that bathes the flesh makes the body the luminous heart of the canvas. The entire palette — ochre sand, honeyed sky, emerald sea — bathes in an embraced solar warmth, in the vein of American illustration painting. Generous impasto, vibrant touch on sand and water.
The artist Le Yack's style is a bold blend of pop art, street art and classic and modern painting.
