Skepa is a French artist born in 1978, painter and sculptor, cofounder of the BAFO movement.
Graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Lyon, he began his artistic practice with graffiti alongside Jone Hopper in the early 1990s.
His work follows a free and instinctive approach, nourished by urban culture and contemporary plastic research.
Over the years, his painting evolves toward a rawer, more expressive language, blending abstraction, free figuration and the energy of the gesture.
Known for a singular and immediately recognizable universe, Skepa develops a powerful and vibrant body of work, regularly presented on the international art market.
