A 4/4 Italian violin labelled Joseph Dall' Aglio fecit Mantuae anno 1837, in good physical condition and tested and working.

You are bidding on a very fine and rare antique italian violin. The instrument is in best ready to play condition with some small not visible repaired cracks, good ebony set up, old Aubert bridge and new strings. The label says: Joseph Dall' Aglio fecit Mantuae anno 1837.
The violin has an excellent high grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of softly flamed maple with matched sides, neck and scroll. The whole length of the violin is 595 mm and the back 358 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 164 mm; middle bouts: 111 mm; lower bouts: 204 mm. The sound of this instrument is of a charming character, rich and beautiful colors, depth and great carrying power. Suitable for soloist. Don't hesitate to contact me for any questions.
