Ryse Kaïa - Rêverie japonaise

My name is Maryse Coin, alias Ryse Kaïa. Born in 1957, I am a self-taught French artist living in Niort (79).
Passionate about color and texture, I explore different styles ranging from abstract expressionism, action painting, to highly realistic academic painting. I use various mediums: acrylic, oil, collage.
My works are in private collections, notably in Europe, the United States and Morocco.
I have participated in many exhibitions and fairs: Deauville, Paris, Perpignan. Marrakech, Florence, Bellano.
The work is signed by the artist at the bottom right: "Ryse Kaïa" as well as on the back.

This vibrant painting celebrates the awakening of nature through a tree in full bloom, reminiscent of the poetry of Japanese cherry blossoms (sakura).
Set against an azure blue, tranquil background, the dark structure of the branches supports an explosion of color. The artist uses an impressionistic and textured technique: the flowers are created by a multitude of small, round and incisive brushstrokes of paint, combining different shades of pink, magenta, white, as well as subtle touches of yellow, green and indigo blue.
Light splashes and splatters of paint inject movement, as if a spring breeze were scattering pollen and petals. The whole exudes a joyful, luminous and soothing energy.
