This work depicts a city captured in a rainy, silent atmosphere. Dark architectures frame a central light-filled perspective, while reflections on the roadway give the scene a nearly cinematic depth.

The composition relies on a contrast between cool blues, deep blacks and a few strokes of ochre, yellow and red that animate the facades and urban lights.

A substantial amount of work has been done on the material: reliefs, impasto, overlaps and texture effects give character to the buildings, the sky and the wet street. Depending on the light, the surface reveals different nuances and enhances the impression of humidity and depth.
