Offered is an elegant three-panel hearth screen (spark screen), made of brass with fine-mesh steel mesh and dating from around 1900–1930.

The screen consists of three hinged panels, allowing it to be placed in different configurations and suitable for a range of fireplace widths. The gently curved top, the bulbous end knobs, and the slender brass frame give a timeless, classic design that fits well in both traditional and country-style interiors.

The brass frame has developed a beautiful natural patina over the years. Locally there are light oxidation marks, including a few greenish spots (verdigris), appropriate for the age and material. The fine metal mesh is in neat used condition and is still tightly mounted within the frame.

Thanks to its solid construction and a weight of about 4 kg, the screen stands stably in front of a fireplace and serves as both a functional and decorative interior piece.
