This work in the 80 × 80 × 4.5 cm format is created on a wide, high-quality canvas and moves between painting and sculpture.
In the light, the surface reveals a clear presence. Depending on the incidence of light and the viewing angle, texture and depth change, individual layers become more pronounced. The work appears spatial and physical – perception arises when walking, standing, and lingering.
Frequency RED VIOLET — Sculpture of light, structure & presence
Frequency Series is inspired by sound and frequency. From my work as a pianist I transfer rhythm, pause and repetition into a visual structure. The composition follows a reduced order. Repetition generates tensions similar to held tones, while subtle color shifts mark transitions.
Artwork details:
Title: Frequency Series
Size: 80 × 80 cm × 4.5 cm
Technique & Materials: Acrylic paint and heavy-gel texture paste on canvas, built up in layers with different putty knives. The pigments form elevations and overlays with a calm, pulsing tension.
Only the highest quality materials are used: acrylic paints from Amsterdam Expert, texture pastes from Liquitex – all locally produced in Austria.
Frame: Wide cradle frame of solid natural wood (included in the price).
(Black decorative frame not included)
Images: The pictures were taken under professional studio lighting. Light is essential for the color play of the works. The artist recommends placing them under direct or indirect light to fully bring out the color play and make the works come alive.
