Original edition.

One of 400 copies on Vélin à la Cuve from the Manufactures B.F.K., made especially and watermarked in the editors’ name.

André Gide (1869-1951) is one of the most important French writers of the first half of the 20th century. Born into a Protestant family, he received a stern education whose mark can be seen in a substantial body of literary work, where the specter of sin and the pursuit of happiness continually oppose each other.
