Born in 1977, Jone Hopper is a French artist.
In the late 1980s, he learned his trade on the street through an emerging movement at the time: graffiti. He tags his name in the street, on walls and on trains. Known for his characters and aerosol signatures, he founded the TBS (The Brutal Style) collective with Skepa and a few other committed graffiti writers. We know little about him as the artist remains faithful to the spirit of graffiti and wishes to stay anonymous, believing that the artwork should be highlighted and not the character. Non-existent on social networks, absent from openings, a faceless artist, he remains a true mystery except for a few gallery owners in the know. He compares his painting to a piece of Hip Hop; he acts as a sampler... samples, cuts, assembles and thus creates new images.
