Statue, Madonna met kind - 37 cm - Porcelain

This is an antique Marian statue with the Child Jesus, made from polychrome biscuit porcelain. This type of religious figurines was very popular between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century (circa 1880–1920). They were produced in large quantities at the time in Belgium, France, and Germany for home altars and devotion. In good condition, large 37 cm.
