Description from the seller

An elegant Chinese porcelain 'Guan'er Ping' (arrow vase) featuring refined underglaze blue and white (Qinghua) decoration. Dating to the Republic Period or mid 20th century, this piece showcases expert "birds and flowers" painting, an auspicious poetic calligraphic inscription, and a four-character apocryphal Qianlong mark. Fully hand-painted

Front Side: The body is decorated with a lively and dynamic composition in the classical Huanyao ("Flowers and Birds") genre. A songbird is depicted resting on a branch of blooming wisteria, interwoven with slender bamboo stalks next to a Taihu scholar's rock. The piece features fine tonal washing of the cobalt blue, replicating the depth of traditional ink-wash scroll paintings.
Reverse Side: Features a calligraphic poem written in a fluid semi-cursive script (xingshu). It is an auspicious couplet calling for prosperity and harmony ("The purple mist touches the heavens — Brilliance and abundance enter every home"). The text is accompanied by three decorative red enamel artist seals.
Vase Shape & History:
The Guan'er Ping form, characterized by two hollow cylindrical handles on the neck, references archaic ritual bronze vessels from the Han and Song dynasties used in the aristocratic game Touhu (arrow-throwing). This specific shape is uncommon for early 20th-century porcelain of this size, adding to its overall collector appeal

Dimensions
Height: 16.0 cm
Width (Maximum Diameter): 7.0 cm

Condition: Excellent collector's condition.
Absolutely no chips, no cracks, no hairlines, and no signs of restoration. The glaze retains its superb original brilliant luster. Please see the detailed photographs as they form an integral part of the description.
